FOREIGN MEDICAL TRIPS BY PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS; AN ACTIVIST SHARES HIS THOUGHTS ON FACEBOOK
Many Nigerians have expressed their dismay at President Muhammadu Buhari’s trip to London to treat a persistent ear infection. It came as a surprise to many who believed that PMB in living up to his “Spartan lifestyle” would not go on foreign medical trips at the expense of the country, especially after Billions of Naira was allocated to the State House Hospital.
Few months ago, Senator Godswill Akpabio traveled abroad to treat himself after an accident few months after commissioning a “World class hospital” in his state as governor!
Activist and writer, Modiu Olaguro shared his thoughts on this oxymoronic phenomenon.

Goodluck Jonathan is regarded as a hero to many due to his unequalled transformation of Nigeria. Yet, we also saw him on few occasions on a white hospital chair. Why?
Muhammadu Buhari is also there to go get some solution to an ear infection. Why?
Just thinking o! Something is not adding up. Why travel over the red sea and blue ocean to go get services your supporters claimed you provided for them?
